A Hundred Hearts.... - SNSDC86

It's time for the first challenge in 2013 for the Sweet 'n Sassy Digi Challenge Blog -- Something New.  It can be a new product, new technique, new card design, anything as long as it's new to the crafter.

For my card, I used a card design that I've never tried before....a Flip Down Stack Card.  It's this week's tutorial at SCS.  It was so much fun to make and the tutorial is fantastic!

Here is the card with the stack closed (I used a photo turn to hold my stack closed):

Here is the stack flipped down:

Here's a detail shot of the adorable Rhubarb holding a heart.

With the wonder of digi stamps I layered the "I love you" from the Valentine's Day Greetings Digital Stamp Set on Rhubarb's heart.  I used more of the sentiments in Valentine's Day Greetings and one from the Love Sentiments Digital Stamp Set on the flip down panels.

Supplies:
Cardstock:  Georgia Pacific, Bazzill, Copic
Patterned Paper:  Basic Grey (Bittersweet)
Stamps:  Sweet 'n Sassy Digis (Valentine's Day Greetings, Love Sentiments, Rhubarb's Heart)
Markers:  Copics (E01, 07, 31, 33, 35, R20, 81), Bic Mark-It (Desert Rose)
Tools/Embellishments:  Spellbinders (Classic Squares Large & Small), punches (SU Corner Rounder, EK Success Heart), ribbon (May Arts), Stickles (Star Dust), CM Fine Tip Black Pen, MM Photo Turn

I'm entering this card in the following challenges:
Word Art Wednesday #61 - Anything Goes
Terrifically Thrilling Thursday - Anything Goes
Spark Your Creativity Now Challenge #5 - Anything Goes

Thanks for stopping by today and I hope you'll join us in using Something New.

  3. Stephnie,
Your faux stitching is better than mine, actually is it very good. The details in your card are subtle but make such a difference. You seem to have great skilss in this arena, so I hope we get to see more of your work. The dsp giv a layered look, then your stack, it's really a keeper.
