Fall Shaker Card

Happy Wednesday! I hope your week is going well. My husband started a new job on Monday and we're adjusting to his new work schedule. One of the mentors the Lord gave me after my mom passed away used to frequently say, "Adjust is a must!" How true this is...even in good things like a new job. The Lord brings change to our lives for many reasons. Sometimes it's to help us grow and learn to trust Him more. Our Word Art Wednesday focus verse this week expresses it this way, "O the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable are his judgments, and his ways past finding out!" Romans 11:33 To have knowledge is to know the facts and wisdom is the ability to appropriately use use those facts. Our Lord has both knowledge and wisdom in a limitless supply. How thankful I am for that!

Have you discovered the relatively new website Paper Craft Romance? If not, you are missing out on a wealth of paper craft resources, tutorials, product reviews, free printables and a LOT more. The owner, Deedee, is a good friend of mine and previously owned the Deedee's Digis online store. If you become an email newsletter subscriber, you are given access to a subscribers-only free printables section. I am using on of those printables for my card today.  I colored the image with Copics and then used it as the background for my shaker card. I used a variety of sequins in my shaker including my new favorites Assorted Moonshine sequins by Simon Says Stamp (SSS). SSS is our wonderful sponsor for this challenge. They are a fantastic one stop shop that features most, if not all, of the most popular brands. I was able to purchase the Lawn Fawn banner dies and the Echo Park 6x6 paper pad used in today's project from them. They have quick shipping too. :) A few more Moonshine sequins topped with Rusty Hinge stickles finish off the card front.

I used two of the double-sided patterned papers from the Echo Park I Love Family 6 x 6 pad for the card front and the window border. A piece of stamp packaging is the clear panel for the shaker window.

I used the papers for a little interior decorating as well.

I'm entering this card in the following challenges:
Addicted to Rubber Stamps Challenge #217 - Make Your Mark (I used my Copics)
Craft Your Passion Challenges #335 - Anything Goes
Let's Color Linky Party #13 - Anything that has been hand colored

Fall Fun

Hello! I'm a day late posting my card for the new Word Art Wednesday challenge. Life has been a little crazy and while I was able to make my card in time, I was not able to write the blog post. Anyway, this week we're focusing on Proverbs 8:17, "I love them that love me and those that seek me early shall find me." The Lord loves us and if we will seek Him, try to learn about Him, try to follow Him, we will find Him. Do you want to know the Lord as Savior? He's waiting there for you with open arms. Christian, do you want to have a closer relationship with the Lord? He's right there for you and wants that close fellowship with you that obedience and trust bring. Do you love the Lord? Rest assured. He loves you more than you can imagine and wants a close relationship with you.

This week I chose to use fall colors on this easel card. My image is from Robyn's Fetish and is colored with Copic markers. Since the plaid background is a bit busy, I kept the rest of the card design pretty simple. I added some faux stitching, sequins and some Wink of Stella on the leaves.

This is a standard A2 card and the verse panel holds up the image panel for display.

Several of the item used are from my stash and/or gift items. I'm not going to link up the items used but will put a list below.

Supplies:
Cardstock: Georgia Pacific (white), Recollections (kraft), I *think* the red cardstock is Paper Trey Ink but I'm not sure as it was a gift.
Patterned Paper: this is from my scrap pile but I think it's Recollections
Digi Stamps: WORDart by Karen (Proverbs 8:17),  Robyn's Fetish (Fall Fun -- Currently on sale!)
Copics: R20, 22, 24, 27, 29; G14; Y13, 17, 32, 35; YR21; C0,1; B32, 34, 39; BG10; E00, 07, 09,11,25, 31,35
Tools/Embellishments: Sequins and burlap ribbon-The Paper Studio, Petite Oval Dies - Spellbinders, Black Fine Tip marker - Creative Memories, Zig Wink of Stella (clear brush tip marker)
