Thanks a Latte!!

Today is the start of the 2018 Spring / Summer Coffee Lover's Blog Hop. I have a very simple card to start off with for this hop. I needed a quick thank you card for a fellow coffee lover. The My Favorite Things Blueprints 29 die set made this card quick and easy.

I filled the rectangles with sentiments and an image from Super Sponsor Joy Clair's Coffee Love stamp set (and svg files). These stamps were part of a prize I won on a previous Coffee Lover's Blog Hop. I used a heart die cut from another Super Sponsor, Lawn Fawn, to add an embellishment to the cup. The heart was coated with Wink of Stella and then Nuvo Crystal Drops. The latte cup was popped up over the panel.

Supplies:
Cardstock - Georgia Pacific (white), Bazzill (teal)
Stamps: Joy Clair (Coffee Love) clear stamp set and coordinating SVG files
Ink:  Memento (Tuxedo Black), VersaFine (Onyx Black)
Tools/Embellishments: Copic Markers, Nuvo Crystal Drops, Lawn Fawn Heart Dies, Wink of Stella (clear), My Favorite Things dies (Blueprints 29)

I am also entering this card in the following challenge:
Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge - Use more than one stamp (I used 3)

Thanks for stopping by today! I hope you enjoy your weekend.

Top 10 Viewed Blog Posts of 2017

Hello All! I know it's been a while since I posted. Some health issues have kept me out of my craft room. I'm finally feeling much better so hopefully I'll get back to crafting soon.

I have been enjoying all the "Best Nine" collages on Instagram. Click here to see mine. Then today I read Kristie Marcotte's post today of the top 10 viewed blog posts from her blog The Best Things in Life are Pink. That inspired me to take a look at my own blog stats and see what my top 10 viewed blog posts of 2017 were. Here they are (click the link on each card title to see the original post):

A Trio of Thanks

This was a pretty quick card to put together and it used all scraps from other cards (except of course for the card base). Strips of patterned paper were layered with strips of navy cardstock from edge to edge on the A2 sized card front. The sentiment was white heat embossed and white gel pen adds faux stitching. The little coffee cups were colored with Copics and then fussy cut. A Tuxedo Black Memento marker was used on the cut edges and to darken up the hearts on the cup sleeves. A 1.25" square punch was used to punch 3 squares of kraft cardstock that was then dry embossed. These squares were matted on 1 3/8" squares of navy patterned paper and adhered to the card front. To finish off the card, the coffee cups were popped up using foam squares. I really like how this turned out and loved having a way to use up some of those scrap pieces of patterned paper. You'll probably see this sketch again.

Supplies:
Cardstock: Recollections (kraft), Cor'dinations (Black Iris), Georgia Pacific (images)
Patterned Paper: Playing with Color 2 (Fall Patterned cardstock)
Stamps: Fiskars clear stamps (Latte Love), Stampabilities (Coffee)
Ink: VersaMark, Memento (Tuxedo Black)
Copics: YR 20, 21, 24; Y21; E41, 42, 43, 44
Other: Cuttlebug embossing folder (Swiss Dots), Simon Says Stamp fine detail embossing powder (white), Gelly Roll gel pen (white), Creative Memories Square Punch (1.25"), Memento Marker (Tuxedo Black)

I'm linking this card up in the 2017 Fall Coffee Lovers Blog Hop. I'm also linking it up in the challenges listed below:
Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge - Pop It Up (I used foam square to pop up my images)
Crafty Hazelnuts Patterned Paper Challenge - Must Use Patterned Paper

Thanks for visiting with me today. Please come back again soon.

Brentwood Birthday

Today, I turned this Brentwood image into a birthday card for a coffee lover. He's another of my favorite Brentwoods to color and the footrest of his chair is the perfect spot to tuck a sentiment. I didn't have a JessicaLynn Originals (JLO) birthday sentiment to use so I had to go to an old standby birthday set. However, I did manage to tuck one of my new JLO coffee sentiments in the top corner. I had sized him a little big for a regular A2 sized card so I decided to go with a 5.5" square gatefold card this time.

For this card, I did a fair amount of interior decorating.

Supplies:
Cardstock: Cor'dinations (Black Iris), Georgia Pacific (white), Unknown dark orange (it feels like Bazzill)
Patterned Paper: Playing with Color 2 (Fall Patterned Cardstock)
Stamps: Jessica Lynn Original Digis (Summer 2017 Coffee Lovers Blog Hop Image, Summer 2017 Coffee Lovers Blog Hop Image 3), My Sentiments Exactly clear stamp set (Inspirational Birthday Innies and Outies), Stampendous clear stamp set (Birthday Wish)
Ink: Versamark, VersaFine (Onyx Black)
Copics: YR18, 20, 21, 24; Y15, 17, 32, 35, 38; W1, 3, 5, 7; YG95, 97, 99; E07, 08, 09, 33, 35, 37, 40, 41, 42, 43, 44; B29
Other: Our Daily Bread Designs dies (Double Stitched Rectangles, Double Stitched Pennant Flags), Simon Says Stamp fine detail embossing powder (White)
I'm entering this card in the Fall 2017 Coffee Lovers Blog Hop and at the My Creative Scoop Color Inspiration #26 (must have hand colored image).

Thanks for stopping by today. I'll be back a little later with one last card for the hop.

Coffee Over Everything

I have one last card to share with you tonight for the Coffee Lovers Bloghop. This one is a center step card featuring another digi from Scribbles. The large coffee is the one from Scribbles and the two smaller ones and the sentiments are from a clear stamp set by Stampabilities. The sentiments were heat embossed. For details on how I make my center step cards, please see the directions in this post. The leaves in the background paper and the hearts on the smaller coffee cups sparkle thanks to some stickles. The heat embossing also adds some shine. The edges of the card base and the patterned papers was inked with distress ink.

The interior is decorated slightly. I don't think it shows in the pic but there is another small coffee cup added to the greeting panel on the interior. All the images were fussy cut and a black marker was used on the edges to cover the raw white edge.

Supplies:
Cardstock: Georgia Pacific (images), Recollections (kraft card base and cream for greeting panel on the interior), Taylored Expressions (Vellum)
Patterned Paper: The Paper Studio
Stamps: Scribbles (Coffee digi), Stampabilities clear set (Coffee)
Ink: Versafine (Onyx Black), Distress Ink (Vintage Photo)
Copics: YR20 21, 24; C1, 3; E40, 43; Y21, 32; N1; W1, 3, 5
Other: Stickles (Star Dust), Simon Says Stamp fine detail embossing powder (clear), Memento marker (Tuxedo Black)
I'm linking this card up in the 2017 Fall Coffee Lover Bloghop. Thanks for visiting with me and I hope you'll come back tomorrow for another Guest Designer project for Our Daily Bread Designs.

Your Kindness Warms My Heart

I recently won this cup and saucers image from Scribbles. I love it and it was so fun to color that I've already colored it more than once. I used one of the dies from My Favorite Things Blueprint 1 to cut it out and lightly inked the cardstock with distress ink to cover the bright white. The leaf paper was die cut with a stitched die from MFT Blueprints 29 and the brown cardstock mat was die cut with the largest die in the Blueprints 1 set. The sentiment was stamped and heat embossed. The image and sentiment were popped up over the pretty leaf patterened paper. The leaves and coffee steam were embellished with stickles. The top saucer and cup were coated with Wink of Stella. In real life, the entire card front has such a pretty sparkle.

Supplies:
Cardstock: Recollections (kraft for card base), Bazzill (Mocha Divine), Georgia Pacific (image and sentiment panels)
Patterned Paper: The Paper Studio
Stamps: Scribbles (Cup Saucer digi), Fiskars (Latte Love clear stamp set)
Ink: Taylored Expressions (Chocolate Truffle), Distress Ink (Vintage Photo)
Copics: starting from the bottom and moving upward - YR16, 18; E07, 09; E42, 44; E35, 37; YR 20, 21, 24
Dies/Embellishments: My Favorite Things Die-namics (Blueprints 1 & 29), Stickles (Star Dust), Wink of Stella (clear), Simon Says Stamp Fine Detail Embossing Powder (clear)

This card is for the 2017 Fall Coffee Lovers Bloghop.

I am also entering it at the My Creative Scoop Color Inspiration Challenge #26 which must include something hand colored.

I'll have one more card for you tonight and then please come back tomorrow for a new project for Our Daily Bread Designs.

Thanks A Latte

This card design was inspired by Operation Write Home Sketch #236. The image and sentiment are from the Verve Three Cheers Digi set. The image was colored with copics and a Pumpkin Spice Frappuccino was the inspiration for the color choices. The image was fussy cut and popped up over the background panels. The heart on the cup is coated with Nuvo Crystal Drops and a few random drops are scattered across the card. White gel pen dots add some interest to the solid cardstock fishtail banner.

Supplies:
Cardstock: The Paper Studio Heavy Weight (card panel), Georgia Pacific (white), Recollections (black)
Patterned Paper: Play with Color 2 (Fall Patterned Cardstock)
Stamps: Verve (Three Cheers Digi Set)
Copics: Y21, 32; E07, 09; YR16, 18, 20, 21, 24; Colorless Blender
Other: Nuvo Crystal Drops (clear), Gelly Roll Gel Pen (white), Our Daily Bread Designs dies (Ovals, Layered Lacey Ovals)

This card is entered in the 2017 Fall Coffee Lovers Blog Hop.

Thanks for stopping by for a visit. I'll be back shortly with another card for the Bloghop.

Coffee Lover

I have another card for the Summer Coffee Lover's Challenge. This time I colored a coffee mug in bright colors before fussy cutting it. Some "steam" was stamped on a circle die cut. Star Dust stickles were added to the steam and the rim design on the mug.

Cardstock: Georgia Pacific (white), Recollections (black), Unknown (yellow card base)

I'm back with another card for the Summer Coffee Lover's Blog Hop. I love this adorable digi image of Brentwood Owl with his coffee travel mug. It was so much fun to color with Copics. I stamped a sentiment on his cup sleeve with VersaFine ink and heat embossed it with clear embossing powder. It adds a subtle texture and shine. For a little more shine, the hearts on the sleeve and on his overalls were coated with Glossy Accents. The image was die cut and matted before being adhered to some fun summery papers.

Summer Coffee Lover's Blog Hop

It's time for the Summer Coffee Lover's Blog Hop and I wanted to play along. This card features the free digi that Jessica Lynn Original Stamps has available (after the hop it will no longer be free). You can download it here. Thanks, Jessica!!

The image was colored with copics and accented with a white gel pen before being die cut with a rectangular die. I wanted to keep the focus on the adorable owl drinking his morning coffee (or maybe my favorite, cappuccino) so I kept the rest of the card pretty simple. A sentiment on a banner die cut and some twine finish it off.

Supplies:
Cardstock: The Paper Studio Heavy Weight (white card base), Georgia Pacific (white for image), Bazzill (Bitter Chocolate)
Patterned Paper: Basic Gray (Out of Print 6 x 6 - retired)
Stamps: Jessica Lynn Originals (2017 Summer Coffee Lovers Blog Hop Digital Stamp), Fiskars clear stamp set (Latte Love)
Ink: Taylored Expressions (Chocolate Truffle)
Copics: E07, 08, 09, 31, 33, 35, 37, 41, 42, 43, 44; N0, 1, 3, 5; Y38, 11, 13, 15, 17; B21, 23, 26; YG03, 05, 07
Dies: Our Daily Bread Designs (Double Stitched Rectangles), WRMK (Party Banner)
Other: Twine-Wright's, Gelly Roll white gel pen

I'm also entering this card in the following challenges:
