Hat Lady - CPS 176 & CPC-FOF51

I used sketch CPS 176 for this set of cards & a matching tote bag.  I wish you could see the glitter & sparkle the background paper has.  It makes the set look so much more elegant.  I stamped the image on vanilla cardstock using coffee bean ink. I then embossed it with clear embossing powder.  After cutting it out with the spellbinders die, and before removing the die, I inked the edges with creamy caramel ink. I ran the ivory colored patterned paper thru my cuttlebug embossing folder for a little extra texture.  I also used an embossing folder on the envelope flap.  Since this was an economy card order, I left off the usual bling & ribbon that I was really wanting to add.  :)

This also qualifies for the Fun on Friday Challenge 51 over at CPC.  That challenge was to use wet or dry embossing on a card...I used both.  ;)

Supplies:
Papers:  SU (very vanilla), DCWV (At home)
Stamp: Class Act
Ink:  SU (creamy caramel), Inkadinkado (coffee bean)
Embossing Powder: Stampendous (clear detail)

Tools:  Spellbinders petite ovals & petite scalloped ovals, Cuttlebug embossing folder - Victoria & Iron Works

I love making easel cards because I think they look extra-special.  This card is intended for a good friend  whose father recently passed away.  The verse on the card is one we used to encourage each other back when we were teenagers. She definitely deserves something with a little extra touch.

Nahum 1:7 - SSS63

One of my favorite stamp companies is Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps because they have lots of KJV Scripture stamps. This is my preferred  Bible version so finding KJV stamps is a treat.  I used the Sweet Stop Sketch 63 to make the following card using the Nahum 1:7 stamp from the Jesus Cares clear stamp collection.  Nahum 1:7 was one of my dad's favorites.

I inked the edges of the paper and popped up the verse layers on pop dots.

Supplies:
Card base:  Bazzill
Cardstock: Recollections
Patterned Paper:  BG Origins
Embellishments: BG Opaline Half Pearls, Hobby Lobby brads, Spellbinders Nestabilities
Ink:  Ancient Page Coal Black
Stamp: Sweet 'n Sassy

Bookmarks for Campers

Our daughter is a counselor at a Christian camp this summer.  She wants to be able to give each of her campers her address so that they can keep in touch with her.  I offered to make this book-loving girl bookmarks with the camp theme on the front and her home & college addresses on the back.  She requested "camp" colors and likes ribbons off the ends.  Since I am making so many of them (70+), I chose to go the hybrid route and mounted my digi-bookmarks on cardstock and then attached the ribbons.

Supplies:  PSE7, cardstock:  Recollections (brown) and Georgia Pacific (white), Ink: SU, Ribbons: Offray

I learned how to make my new signature here and then how to get it to show up on all my posts here

I truly haven't fallen off the face of the earth. We moved in mid-March and due to a heavy travel schedule in April, we're still working on settling into the new house. I'm really hopeful that I'll get to "play" some this week and then I'll be posting again.
