The focus verse this week in the Say It With Scripture Challenge over at the Sweet 'n Sassy Connection is 2 Corinthians 12:9, "...My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness... "
In the preceding verses, the apostle Paul is relating how he asked the Lord three times to remove his "thorn in the flesh." In our focus verse, Paul tells us the Lord's response each time. What a comfort to know that, when we are going thru a trial, no matter what kind, the Lord's grace is sufficient to help us through it and to give us the strength to endure. When we realize that we are truly weak and can do nothing on our own, we can bring glory to Him during our times of trial and testing.
For my card this week I brought out my pearls and went a little "pearl crazy." I really like the pearl flourishes that seem to be popular now and I really like bows. I tried a new (to me) bow technique. I read about Becca's peg bows in her Becca Bit Peg Bow tutorial. We haven't built my Peg Bow board yet so I had to improvise. I used the handles of a pair of large scissors. It actually worked surprisingly well. I used this week's ODBDSLC73 sketch for the card design.
