When I first saw what this week's challenge at The Sweet 'n Sassy Digi Challenge blog was going to be, I'll confess, my first thought was that it was going to be really hard. However, I was very happy to find out I was completely wrong! This week, we were challenged to ONLY use white papers. Other elements could be any color we wanted but all of our papers were to be white. I discovered I could make a card pretty quickly when I didn't have so many choices of which papers to choose.
I have some cardstock by DCWV what was already embossed. I added it to my card base. {Lining up white cardstock on white cardstock so that it has even borders was probably the hardest part of the whole card -- and yes, I did have my reading glasses on. LOL} Then a bit of ribbon, die-cutting the sentiment & its mat with my nesties, a couple flowers and pearls and the card was done! I think I should make white cards more often!! I used this week's Sweet Stop Sketch (SSS123) for my card design. I traded out the main square for my eyelet circle.
Supplies:
Cardstock - Georgia Pacific, DCWV (Embossed Floral)
Stamp - Sweet 'n Sassy (Many Thanks digital stamp set)
Embellishments/Tools - Flowers (Prima), Pearls (Recollections), Ribbon (Misc. from stash), Spellbinders Nestabilities (Circle Large, Eyelet Circle)
I'm entering this card in the following challenges:
Meljen's Designs Challenge #74 - Solid cardstock only, no patterned paper
Simon Says Stamp - Anything Goes
Thanks for stopping by!
