SIWS16 - Psalm 66:1

Psalm 66:1, "Make a joyful noise unto God, all ye lands;" is this week's focus verse (and free digi) in the Say it With Scripture Challenge at the Sweet 'n Sassy Connection.  If we go on to read verse two, it says, "Sing forth the honour of his name: make his praise glorious."  The whole purpose of our singing is to bring honor and praise to our wonderful Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.  Whether you are a proficient singer or not isn't what matters.  What matters is are you singing with joy to bring honor to the Lord?  As one of our forefathers stated, "I care not if you can sing but do you have a song?"

This week's card took me out of my comfort zone.  I attempted a CAS (clean & simple) card.  I followed this week's CPS sketch #237.  The "white space" called to me and I couldn't resist adding the flourish in the upper corner.  This card will fit in a regular business size envelope.

I'm also entering this card in the following challenges:

A beautiful card in every way, Steph! I love how the Scripture verse is the focus of the card, and the little flourish of pearls is just the right touch. That is one of my all-time favorite verses. There is a song we learned in Sunday school years ago that uses this verse, and I'll be singing it the rest of the day -- thank you! :-)
