SNSDC22 - You're My Cup of Cocoa

This week at the Sweet 'n Sassy Digi Challenge blog, we have a color challenge to use red, yellow and purple.  Like many color challenges, for some it's easy because the colors are some they reach for time & time again.  For others, it's a true challenge because the colors are not ones they would pick on a regular basis.  I am definitely in the latter category.  However, challenges really make me stretch and try things I would not normally do, so...here's my attempt at a card with red, yellow and purple.

I'm noticing that some of my yellows are washing out in the picture.  The handle & rim of the cup are yellow and so are the polka dots on the sentiment matting.  The paper with the sentiment is a cream that has a yellowish tint to it.   Rhubarb was colored with copics and is popped up for a little dimension.  I used primsacolor pencils on Rubarb's cup.

Supplies:
Cardstock - Recollections (cream), Bazzill (?) (embossed purple)
Patterned Paper - Jillibean Soup (Watermelon Gazpacho Soup)
Stamps:  Sweet 'n Sassy (Rhubarb's Cuppa Joe, Hot Cocoa Sentiments)
Embellishments: Twine (JoAnn's), Brads (Oriental Trading), Crystal Effects, Buttons from my stash, Copics Markers, Prismacolor Pencils, Gamsol

I'm entering this card in the following challenges:
SCS Sketch SC349
Paper Sundaes #88 - Anything Goes
Simon Says Stamp - Anything Goes
Stamptacular Sunday #131 - Have a Latte Day
Tuesday Throwdown #68 - Thinking of You
Paper & Such - Recipe Challenge (I used designer paper, twine, 2 buttons & 3 brads)

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you'll play along with us this week.
